We use the Jahia Digital Experience Platform to manage our insurance portal, which is integrated with several systems.
  • It provides portal security.
  • It provides excellent portal personalization and customization.
  • Overall, it provides good administration of users and groups.
  • Jahia Digital Experience Platform doesn't provide any offline features.
  • Jahia Digital Experience Platform's group management screen could be improved.
  • When there is too many users, the interface is sometimes slower.
Jahia Digital Experience Platform is best for building and managing an enterprise portal that is well-integrated with the backend system, which seems to be their strong suit.

We needed a DXP that combines content management and marketing features to build a customer portal. We need to quickly build new pages and monitor their performances from a marketing perspective.
  • modern UI
  • easy to integrate
  • good customer support
  • lack of documentation on the headless features
  • small community
  • marketo integration should be improved
The solution is well suited for the creation of a portal that incorporates personalization

We migrated to Jahia 3 years ago and use the platform to manage our website in 4 languages. In comparison to our previous HTML heavy CMS that meant relying on team members with HTML skills, creating and editing pages and managing assets is a much faster process and more accessible to the wider team due to the pre-built components and simple interface.
  • Managing multi language sites
  • SEO
  • Mobile optimisation
  • Pre-built components
  • Internal search could be more accurate
  • More learning resources for advanced features would be great
The platform is a brilliant tool for managing multi-language sites that require regular updates as it is comparable to other platforms on the market, is really easy to learn and making and publishing changes is a quick and simple process.

We use Jahia Digital Experience Platform to manage a multi-lingual website with a lot of traffic. We migrated from an old Joomla implementation that was not capable of supporting the company as we grew. In that older site it was difficult to update content and keep things secure. We have multiple domains and systems running and the intention over time is to continue migrating more areas into the Jahia Digital Experience Platform.
  • Content editing, ease of use
  • Managing multiple languages
  • Managing images and files
  • More component templates
  • Additional features / AI to accelerate content workflow
Works well if you are running complex sites with multiple languages, perhaps multiple subdomains and where your site is really mission critical for the success of your company. There are cheaper and more basic website platforms available that are perfect for some people but, in my opinion, you will find they are lacking when you start to scale up with more content, integrations and all round functionality.

I use Jahia Digital Experience Platform for multi-site management. The platform is user friendly and is easy to update the content, images, files and videos across different sites. Jahia Dx's built-in analytics and reporting features helps us get the insights into website performance and content effectiveness.
Business Problems Addressed:It is difficult to manage content across multiple websites, leading to inconsistency and delays in content update.
It is difficult to get data insights, making it challenging to understand user behavior and website performance.
Scope of use case: It serves as a central digital experience platform to manage content, images, files and maintain consistency across multiple public sites managed by our organization.
  • Content management: It is very easy to update text, images, files and videos even for a non technical user.
  • Multi-site Management: It has a robust multi-site management capability, It helps in maintaining multiple websites with consistent branding.
  • Digital asset management: It is easier to store organize and retrieve images, videos and documents.
  • It has a great built-in analytics and reporting feature.
  • It would be great if we can get more comprehensive documentation and video tutorials for complex features in Jahia
  • Would love to have advances SEO tools, including automated metadata management and structured data markup to boost search engine visibility.
  • Advanced Form building functionality, to create more complex and interactive forms.
Well suited scenarios :
1. It can be used for content-heavy websites, as it provides robust content management feature.
2. Managing multiple websites that require centralized consistent branding.
3. It is useful for digital marketing and to manage optimize campaigns.
Less appropriate scenarios:
1. Less appropriate for static websites which don't need frequent update.
2. Single page applications that rely heavily on front-end frameworks and API's

Jahia Digital Experience Platform is used internally to provide the employee portal of the company (17000 users, almost most of them do not use it at all - it is there for internal services access, internal documentation, and service federation). Jahia Digital Experience Platform is being used as a portal manager and as a CMS and not for its personalization and AB testing features, which we have no use of.
  • User onboarding and interface clarity
  • Publication workflows
  • Service integration
  • Thorough documentation
  • The Jahia Digital Experience Platform support is top notch and responsive
  • Content versioning is totally missing :(
  • Initial ramp up can be tedious, that's a vast platform
  • Bugs in the image management screen
Jahia Digital Experience Platform thrives as a portal platform for us, it is a perfect fit. We have a complex organization and a granular permission approach was a must-have for us. The pages are snappy, and bug-free and the content authoring experience is extremely intuitive, even with 30 users creating content at the same time (which is our ballpark). Jahia Digital Experience Platform was also considered for a retail use case (a side platform that has nothing to do with our user portal) and Jahia Digital Experience Platform wouldn't have been of any use there - it doesn't have commerce integrations.

We have implemented Jahia for our clients to enable them to provide compelling content experiences for their customers. Both our B2B and B2C clients have benefited from the options to personalize user experience. Key needs have included a DXP that could handle large amounts of content and support a smarter structure that adapts to the user. We have also used the platform to support complex MyAccount and self-service models in B2B portals.
  • Personalization with complex use cases
  • Creating a seamless UI for multiple disparate backend systems
  • Easy to organize and link content
  • Great customer support before and after the sale
  • Missing items in platform documentation: overall it is great but a few things are missing
Jahia is a great fit for clients who want to create an immersive content experience for their customers. The platform provides great options for personalization. One non-profit client used Jahia to segment its audience into two main groups, one of which would be very turned off by content targeting the other. Another client used Jahia to create a support portal for its global leasing business, meeting the needs of customers and salespeople by creating a single interface for all account management activities. The Jahia sales and support teams have been extremely helpful through the purchase and implementation process, unlike other companies that seem to disappear once the contract is signed.

Jahia is an extremely efficient CMS platform. The tools for content creation and management are intuitive, robust and make for a seamless experience. The option to switch between a headless or traditional approach further enhances the platform's appeal, allowing us to tailor our content delivery strategy based on our needs. The integrated Customer Data Platform is another highlight. It has become an indispensable tool for optimizing conversions and personalizing customer experience.<br><br>We primarily use Jahia's Content Management System (CMS) to build, manage, and update our website and digital content. The CMS's intuitive design and robust tools have allowed our content and marketing teams to work more efficiently and collaboratively. They can quickly create, edit, and publish content without needing extensive technical skills or IT support. This has greatly reduced the time and resources required for content management, and ensured our digital content is always up-to-date and engaging.
  • Jahia DX excels at delivering personalized content based on customer data. It collects and analyzes user behavior, allowing businesses to tailor content to individual user needs and preferences, increasing engagement.
  • Jahia DX provides a comprehensive solution by integrating a CMS and a CDP. This allows for seamless content management and customer data analysis within a single platform, saving time and reducing complexity.
  • Its modular architecture makes it easy to scale. Businesses can add or remove components as their needs evolve, making Jahia DX a future-proof solution.
  • Jahia DX is packed with features and functionalities, which can be overwhelming for new users. A more intuitive and interactive onboarding process could help users get up to speed faster.
  • While the support team is excellent, the platform's documentation could be improved. More detailed guides and tutorials would help users understand and utilize all of the platform's features and capabilities more effectively.
  • At times, the user interface can be slow, particularly when dealing with large volumes of data or complex workflows. Improvements in performance and stability would enhance the user experience.
We have a large volume of digital content to manage and distribute across various channels, Jahia DX is an excellent choice. Its robust CMS allows for efficient content creation, editing, and management, while its flexible delivery options ensure a consistent user experience across all platforms. While Jahia DX is designed to be user-friendly, some technical knowledge is still required to set up and fully utilize the platform. Businesses with limited IT resources might find it challenging to get the most out of Jahia DX.

I'm in charge of products implying Jahia for several clients. I'm quite active in pre-sales and project management and I like to keep a technical focus and be able to act as an expert or a developer on that CMS. I also keep a focus on my previous GIS experience and web mapping integration.
  • User Experience : Jahia is especially simple to use for all user roles including visitors, content editors, reviewers, editors in chief, administrators and developers
  • Integration : Jahia is a developer friendly CMS developped in Java and based on cool features such as OSGI enabling hot deployement and reducing risks of unwanted interactions between modules and sites
  • Well integrated Form Factory
  • Enterprise Feautres such as marketting automation tools
  • Review workflows are not as intuitive as you'd imagine. This is an area in the UX where the editor has work to do. It works well but it could be more intuitive
  • Pricing should be more progressive and more aggressive
  • Jahia deserves more publicity. The product is excellent but nobody knows it. The editor should focus on marketing.
Jahia is well suited if at leats one of the situations occure :

- Important UX requirements
- Integration projects
- Multi-sites, multi-language
- Different sites development by different teams that should fit in one shared instance
- High availability, clustering
- High load, high performance
- Need for a headless CMS
- A/B testing and market automation
- Stable architecture with limited risks of incompatibilities between modules
- Excellent support from the editor in enterprise distribution

There is a free community distribution that can be used as entry level, but as soon as a project becomes critical I'd strongly recommend the enterprise distribution. While subscription costs of the enterprise distribution are relatively low compared to ones of other enterprise CMS, they could be more progressive and can be problematic for intermediate projects. This is mainly a problem for the first site at a client, as the subscription costs don't directly depend on the number of deployed sites.

Jahia is used in several departments of our company but mainly in the Marketing department which is responsible for creating the company's online campaigns. Jahia allows us to display our content in a way that we think is most appropriate, depending exclusively on our layout preferences. It made it possible and simple to build the page we want.
  • Its customization capabilities, Jahia does not disrupt creative autonomy as some of its competitors do. On the contrary, its modules and components are totally customizable, ensuring that you have your unique identity on the web without seeming similar or a "copy" of something already online.
  • The ease of use, Jahia is extremely simple and easy to use, even users without great experience will have no problem dealing with it thanks to its intuitive interface.
  • The technical support of Jahia is another strong point, service is always fast and enlightening, they really do their best to help in every way possible.
  • The price, Jahia should have a more attractive and aggressive price to help him become more popular.
  • Jahia cloud is still a bit basic and limited when compared to its competitors.
  • Little investment in marketing that along, with other flaws that I quoted (high price), keeps the community of users small and stagnant, making nonexistent exchange of information and experiences. It is somewhat contradictory that a service that helps in marketing their clients ends up not investing in their own marketing.
I believe that Jahia is best suited for companies where updating content online is not restricted to one or just a few people. If you own a small company/website, that does not need to change content, pages or promotions frequently then maybe Jahia will not be very useful for you.

Jahia is being used to implement our flagship website and our employee portal. We needed a content management system that also allowed us to economically build a transactional spa on top of it.
  • Easy to upload and manage content.
  • Easy to install, and supports on-prem and cloud.
  • Easy to customize and build your own modules that may be enterprise specific.
  • Still a niche and growing vendor in this marketplace.
  • Hard to find EXACT skills, but easy to use if you have web 2.0 experience.
  • Some enterprise features that you would expect are still being developed (e.g. SAML integration).
If you need an economical, Java-based, CMS that can be easily customizable, support headless, and is still a growing company willing to work with you, Jahia is #1.

I've been involved with Jahia being used for multiple different scenarios from intranets, to extranets, to commerce sites and in multi-site and single site use cases. I also have experience with Jahia being used for single departments and across a global organization with centralized content authors and distributed content authors. In these scenarios, it has addressed numerous business problems, but it was consistently able to provide an improved digital experience to end users while enabling content teams to have control of the content and experiences they wanted to deliver.
  • Contextual authoring experience that allows authors to easily visualize the content changes they are making.
  • An extensible platform that can be customized to meet complex business problems. Creating a holistic digital experience so often involves integration with many sources of information and/or systems. Jahia's platform allows for many solutions, from customization to native platform features, for integrating with the different external systems that are required.
  • Jahia's pricing is competitive and Jahia provides many features found in solutions that cost much more
  • Jahia's support team is above average compared to other vendor support teams I have worked with.
  • Jahia documentation is lacking in some areas.
  • Jahia cloud offerings are not as mature as some other platforms in this space.
  • Jahia's native components and community provided plug-in ecosystem is limited. But thankfully, customization is easy in most cases.
Well suited for enterprise digital experience solutions.

Jahia is being used across the whole organization. We use Jahia to build various types of landing pages—from a shopping cart, marketing's campaign pages to regular travel information type content. Jahia software helps us display and manage our content the way we want. Personally I'm able to build virtually any type of page I desire based on layout preferences.
  • It's flexible and accommodating from a page layout perspective
  • It works with other content production platforms like Bootstrap
  • It simultaneously supports multiple users
  • User interface not exactly informative at first glance
  • Lack of basic features such as multiple photo upload selection
  • It always reloads any page's updates to the top
  • Removes some pieces of html after "edit" refresh, like Bootstrap's icons
  • Edit's mode window size doesn't reflect actual size of a content column's width
In my opinion, Jahia does good job supporting any static and landing pages, where content lives and is not updated on regular basis. However, blog type content or a multimedia would be harder to manage. I couldn't find Jahia's offered widgets to be working the way I would like them to. It seems like that side of the software is not very much supported.
